Students Gather Outside Their Cancer-Stricken Teacher’s House to Sing Song of Worship

So good to see all of these kids come together with a message of faith, hope and love for their teacher. Sadly, those ideals have been crushed in public schools by the left.

Quote:This is the uplifting moment a group of 400 students gathered outside their cancer-stricken teacher’s Tennessee home to sing songs of worship.

Students from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville descended upon the home of beloved Latin teacher Ben Ellis.

The high school students gathered on the front lawn while Ellis looked on from an open window as the group sang the song, Holy Spirit.

In the heartwarming video, Ellis can be heard joining in at times and singing the hymns with the children.

English teacher Leslie Ponder said the act was ‘spur of the moment,’ noting some students were in the middle of class and tests, when they ‘dropped everything for a bigger lesson on life, love, community and compassion,’ and were bused over to Ellis’ home. The beautiful moment was captured on video and shared on Facebook by country singer Tim McGraw and has since gone viral, garnering 16 million views.

‘A friend sent this to me today. Ben Ellis is a Nashville area high school teacher battling cancer,’ McGraw wrote on his Facebook page.

‘The entire student body (400+ students plus HS faculty) drove to his house to worship with him. ‘Our thoughts and Prayers are with him and his family….. So precious and kind.’

The video has received 622,000 ‘likes’ and an outpouring of praise from people touched by the students’ kind gesture.
