What is the record over the last decade or so for Alabama's FBS universities in keeping the state's nationally ranked (McDonald's All Americans, etc) high school players in state? Is Johnson the exception or the rule?

I am surprised that Alabama has had 83 nationally top ranked high school BB players in the past two or so decades (1996-2016). That is impressive. I hope they all made good enough grades to go to FBS level schools.

IIRC, Buck wanted to attend UAB, to the point of hiding out in the dorm with one of the players. Fast forward, one of the local reporters did an in home broadcast from her home while Buck was there. Buck said he wanted to play for UAB. She interrupted him and told him to "Shut up MOFO". Word on the street, she was suppose to get new furniture or something along that line, but only got a sofa or something like that.

That's a snapshot of what happened as I remember. I'm sure someone here have more details or a better recall than myself and will fill in the blanks for you.

The story I heard was that Steve, Jerome or Archie had Buck hidden in one of their valley avenue apartments, and were intent on keeping him there until signing day. But Delores had already received the dining room suite and wasn't about to give it back. So she called it a kidnapping and called the police.

And our hope for a Final Four appearance left that day.

An Alabama asst coach was recently divorced and provided a personal service(RIP Leroy. Moral of the story Do not get between a mama and her Child AND her man
