WMSB Recap: #13 W&M @ Hampton
A shaky game, to say the least. And what was with that Hampton broadcast? $10?...for that? 03-banghead 05-stirthepot

Anyways, I digress. After a BAD first half, W&M came alive in the second half. There's a lot to improve on this week leading up to the Norfolk State game, but we're happy to be in the Win column this week. Check out our recap, now featuring "The Good, The Bad, The Ugly," as well as a CAA Look Around! LET'S GO TRIBE.

The only thing I would've added was our secondary checking HU's Proctor. I thought that was a bright spot.

Thanks for your passion. Love reading your stuff.

Agreed! Proctor did well against ODU last week; our DBs played well this week.

And thank you for your support, we really appreciate it Tribal! GO TRIBE

Steve Cluley, I believe had a QB efficiency 151. 20 for 34, 302 yards and 2 TDs. No interceptions. Ugly?

Good: Laster true freshman with a goal line interception with a 38 yard return. Armstrong sophomore diving catches and TD to break the tie. Atkins, redshirt freshman playing strong in the middle, Murray red shirt freshman tackles behind the line of scrimmage. The secondary made plays all night. Defense holding Hampton to 35 yards rushing in the second half.

Love the blog and support of the team, but there was a lot more good, including the QB who was pretty good Saturday night.

Tale of two halves.

First Half: Cluley - not pretty.
Second Half - Cluley - pretty good.

Your featured pic of Funderburke captured my sentiment exactly - kid has some long, long strides when he gets moving in an open field!

Funderburke is special for sure. Power and speed.

Cluley made some pretty good reads and throws that in my opinion far out shined his throws that missed. The bomb to Dedmon, the TD to Armstrong, the crossing route to Dedmon, the two of the completions to Caskins. The throws he missed were over thrown, where only the receiver could make a play, eliminating the chance of interception.

Agreed. Altogether for us = ugly. We expect more out of a 3rd year senior starting QB against Hampton--especially in terms of playing a complete game. That play won't cut it in the CAA! Definitely a solid second half though, but that first half made us cringe
