Meh...this is probably going out on too big a limb.

APP and GS are probably better teams than Washington State. Boise won by a field goal. It's not out the realm of possibility to insinuate that APP and Boise could or even would beat a team on their level. Boise has not shown they are the same Boise we used to know.

Boise is head and shoulders better than anyone in the Sun Belt. I'm not that high on our team either. But we are improving. We are a 5-7 to 7-5 team. Talent wise we could go 9-3, but we haven't showed the potential to put it all together.

We only know that they are head and shoulders better than ULL. ULL hasn't been competitive against App and they haven't been competitive against Boise.

We don't "know" anything in regards to where Boise stacks up against App or Southern because they haven't played. To make an assumption like that is illogical at best.

Agreed. We can't make a full comparison here, though I would hope you guys wouldn't lose by 35 at home. That being said, we also cannot safely say that App and GS are better teams either based off a single performance.

Using that logic, South Alabama should be champions of the Sun Belt, because they've had far better OOC Regular Season victories the last couple years.

I'm not. It's a home game for us.

Didn't we cream you guys at your place last year? Home field advantage is overrated. Boise beat you guys 45-10 in game one and they barely squeaked by an average Washington State team this week. APP and GS would have beat Boise this weekend. This may be more of a rebuilding project for the Cajuns.

Yes, the last game of the season, where we were trying out our R-Fr. QB. Congrats on your victory. However, I don't see how your victory last year is at all relevant to our performance against Boise this year.

You said playing at home is why you're not surprised by the line, despite playing poorly in your last five home games. You got creamed in two, lost to a terrible NMSU team, almost lost to a hapless ULM and an FCS squad. You have zero home field advantage.

I don't get your point how is last year relevant to this year. Yes you beat us but how is that helping you this year. Remember we also lost to a terrible Troy team last year. But at the end of the year lets see who's bowling. News flash we are both 1-1.

Almost lost is still a win. And again last season is irrelevant. We don't carry those loses forward.and McNeese is not just another FCS not against us for certain. You dont have an equivalent enemy like them so it's okay that you dont understand.

The score for the McNeese game also didn't show the talent discrepancy on the field. That game was over before the half. They scored a garbage TD because we got cute at the end of the game and threw it 3 times and punted. Had we run the ball like the previous series the final is 37-15 and it wouldn't have been that close either.

In what world? The score was 14-12 at halftime. You guys did not play well at all.

Physically dominate. Dodo penalties killed us early in the game.

But penalties are apart of the game. You can't just throw them out when evaluating a team.

I didn't throw them out. Box score watchers don't see what's actually happening on the field of play. McNees was getting man handled and we played very sloppy and undisciplined. Which in turn allowed them to stay in the game when we should have put it away.

That is a correct statement, echoed by players, coaches, and AD staff and will continue to be a fact until we get our OCS built. Most of the above talk about how it feels just like a road game to them, especially due to the logistics of moving all the players and equipment miles down the road and the "road feel" it gives them at game time.

Nailed it.

If we are favored by more than 3 against ANYONE this year I will take the opponent and the points. Our identity is changed, we are not an explosive, quick hit team anymore, we are a grind it out 3 yards and a cloud of dust team with a tough defense.

Definitely a change from Fritz/Ruse/Curtis GS.
