RE: Bubas Cup 2016-2017
I really like the way Sun Belt does this based solely on regular season

the big south awarded for regular season and for tournament results

which way over values a team getting hot at the end

You don't have to give the same value to the tournament as you do the regular season, but if this is a conference award, all games against conference opponents should count. Especially when you take into account that the tournament winner is your official representative to the NCAA tournaments.

SB gives one point for tourney win for those sports that have both regular season and tourney. The SoCon gives 2 points for tourney win. Every conference does something different. I think I am correct in stating the extra point for the tourney win in is more recent change for the SB.

Your top 3 are TX State and UTA tied for 1st, and Coastal in 3rd.

Awesome to see the Chanticleers so high in the standings in our inaugural year. And to think, these standings are without us even playing football in the Belt this year!

While his methodology is fairly flawed, giving points in baseball and softball while tennis and track are ignored, it can be sorta fun to watch.

If you're excited cause football isn't included, think how we feel with no FB, men's or women's soccer or women's golf. We start every year behind the eight ball and struggle to catch up. Two (?) years ago, we were first with SB and BB left, and finished two points behind first. Women's golf was announced as a new sport around that time...

Pure Comedy gold, thanks for the laughs while I'm drinking my coffee. In case you haven't noticed Minuim writes an article like this every off season for clicks and you Sunbelt boys lap it up. Will never happen and none of the AD would ever agree to this

Don't rub it in. 03-wink

I have been impressed though some of your success did not surprise me in the least.

There will be points in the other spring sports when they do something to produce points. Only SB and BB have some sort of regular season against conference schools. The other sports jump straight to the conf tourney.

I now have MGolf points complete, though the other thread on Bubas points had that posted a few days ago so no surprise with these numbers.

Updated for the completion of regular season softball, thought one more point remains for the tournament winner. I almost went ahead and gave it to UL, but did not. I'll post that point next Saturday I am sure.

RE: Bubas Cup 2016-2017
Right now, it looks like a three-dog fight between UTA, TXST and USA. So I really hope it is us first, or Louisiana, Georgia State, Georgia Southern, Louisiana-Monroe or Coastal Carolina second, then a cancelation of the tourney third.
