pick up what's left of the eastern WAC(NMSU and Louisiana Tech) and get UNT and Louisiana-Lafayette from the Sun Belt. If we need any more members for baseball or whatever we give Houston and/or Tulane the opportunity to join us for free or we steal one more team from the Belt. It may not be glamorous but at least it would be OURS and no one would treat us like second class citizens the way we were treated in the WAC or the way we're being treated(and will continue to be treated) in C-USA. I fear that if something like this does not happen UTEP will just take the easy way out and accept the first offer that comes our way from the MWC.

If UTEP defects, you are going by yourself. Tulsa is quite happy with the new conference and I believe that SMU and Rice feel the same way. I don't buy your complaint of being treated like a second class citizen. Please offer at least one example. Was it that you were sent to the Mobile Bowl that you did not deserve and should have gone to UCF? Was it that you didn't go to the Liberty Bowl even though you had made plans to do that ? Or was it simply that you lost some games you thought that you should win ? I think that the new conference members earned fair treatment and have received it. I can understand that a conference spread to West Va., No. Carolina and Florida may not be a good geographical fit for you....but you knew that going in. If you want to go to the MWC, and they will invite you, Good Luck....don't let the door hit you on your way out.

plus who's treating UTEP like a 2nd class citizen?

If SOME of you guys make pre-season claims about football dominance, and then it doesn't happen, we're gonna poke some fun your way.

Just wait until Memphis' first C-USA loss - they won't hear the end of it.

You getting your feelings hurt on a message board should in no way affect conference affiliation. If you think otherwise, you really have an ego problem.

Wow!

Run home and cry in a new conference because the team didn't live up to all the friggin smack UTEP fans talked up on every board?

Why don't you go to the SWAC, talk smack over there, then get it handed to you by their conference bottom dwellers before you go and embarass the conference in your Bowl game.

Oh, wait.
You already did that in C-USA.

Why don't you suck it up.
UTEP fans had no idea how to handle winning and let their asses hang high and shine bright before the ceiling collapsed.

Learn how to handle winning and you won't get so heartbroken when you lose.

One of the main things that gives any conference credibility, is a semblance of continuity. I'm sure Penn St took a little heat from other Big 10 members when they joined but overall fans across the country know whose in the Big 10. Fans are still trying to figure out whose in the ACC, Big East and yes CUSA. The sooner the media and fans recognize whose in a certain conference and theirs some continuity it does nothing but make the league better!! I hope the present CUSA stays together for a long time but in the world today who knows what's going to happen. There seems to be some rivalries already developing, especially between the East and West, and I think you should be enjoying it instead of letting it get to you. The East schools have more people on this board and maybe louder ones too but that's part of the fun. UTEP is going to win as much as they lose, so you can give it back as much as you have to take and it's all fun anyway!!
