I think it may be Georgia.

Ole Miss's injuries in the secondary will kill them at least vs Alabama.

Blatant Homerism:

Tennessee beat an 11 win team from last year. Georgia beat an 11 win team from last year. UCLA/USC were only 8 win teams last year.

Thus Georgia is 1 and TN is two.

(No need to trash! I know a team that struggles with App State isn't the 2 team right now.)

Hard to say. LSU might be highest-ranking, because they were #5 last week, and when SEC teams lose they only drop a couple of spots in the polls.

Psh... LSU fell 16 spots for losing to the #10 team by 2 points IN Wisconsin.

The Ole Miss secondary was a sieve. L.S.U. played with no fire, other than the assault at the end of the game. Georgia looked the most complete, although they still showed need of improvement. Watch out for A&M. Their defense was improved.

My ranking:
1. Alabama
2. Georgia
3. Texas A&M
4. Tennessee (because they did manage to win and didn't blow a 22 point lead)
5. L.S.U. (until they show some heart)
6. Ole Miss (on offensive potential alone)
7. Arkansas (they always start like the tortoise out of the gate)
8. Auburn (at least we showed a defensive life)
9. South Carolina (they did win even if it was ugly)
10.Florida (they could drastically move up with a win over a decent school)
11.Vanderbilt (they actually showed some fight and balance against a conference foe)
12.Mississippi State (there is something to build upon)
13.Missouri (ditto the above, just not as much to build upon)
14.Kentucky (Really how do you blow a 35-7 lead in the second half?)

Maybe UGA for now (let's see how they do against OM, UT & UF), but don't understand why Auburn isn't getting some love, they were pretty respectable against Clemson. If they can find some consistent QB play, they'll win some games. aTm will likely wilt against the west & LSU will continue to be exploited unless they find a QB & some offensive imagination.
