We should get some votes this week and be undefeated and ranked going into the Lsu game. Think about that a second. Lsu could have 2-3 losses by then and on their heals with all the fire Led talk. Or they could be rolling. Either way its good for us.

Im not the coach or a player so i can look ahead like that. If they stay focused, and i think they will, exciting times ahead.

in coach/player speak, it has to be 1 game at a time....but yeah, it's now realistic 6-0 is plausible

Kentucky is more likely to get votes. SEC losers and close calls won't drop down much if any....but.....thinking about it in hindsight, maybe that first half was just a new coaching staff getting their feet under them. The team too. First game jitters, coaches and players. Looking forward to good things from here on out.

RIP 2012.

RIP to the baghead and all the bs....

and yeah, the bias in polling is easily akin to the ole piss chick I just dropped poop upon with her 11 vs 4 thingy being impo®tent....

the bottom line is we have to win every game moving forward to garner a sniff at the 'access' bid....

having said that, I told yaz this team could be "special"

we have more talent than most boob tube espenis tarts understand....that's why the spread moved to 2 at kick...the bettors lay it down either early of really late....if the line doesn't move, you don't mess with it....

Catch 22 folks------->If we had lost to UK, all our detractors would say "See, I toldya they don't belong with the so-called Big Boys"....When we win, they say "UK ain't worth a warm bucket of spit"....

and so it goes...04-cheers

I mean, they aren't mutually exclusive. Kentucky isn't good and losing to them would prove we couldn't hang with any big teams.

Uhh...actually, yes they are, the way I 'splained it.....and do we know yet if UK isn't, as you say, "good".....Are they bad simply because WE beat them? If so, you sound like them...

I keep seeing people say that Kentucky had WAY more talent than we did. I'm still trying to figure at what position exactly. Their big plays were due to our self inflicted mistakes(blown coverages). Where as, big TD pass to end the first half not withstanding, our comeback was with methodical drives that went right into the teeth of their defense. The only player that really stood out for Kentucky was Harmon, and even he was burnt several times.

One of their highly touted recruits, Matt Elam (believe he was a 4 star and was offered by pretty much every SEC school), was just terrible. Dawson knew to run at right at him. Guy is very soft.

No they aren't. If you can't beat a bottom of the barrel team from the SEC, you can't hang with the top. That doesn't mean UK is good. It means you're bad if you lose to them.

And how good they are has nothing to do with the fact that we beat them. I believe we can be a really good team this year. But let's not act like UK has found success under Stoops. I'll be thrilled if they make a bowl because it makes us look even better, but they MIGHT win one game in the SEC this year. They can't stop the run and most SEC teams have bigger Olines than us. We just gave every team on their schedule the blueprint to beat them. Could they improve? Sure. And I hope they do. But I don't see it happening.

I hope they get 6 wins too, however, looking at their schedule, I'd almost be shocked if they got 3 wins this year.

Then please, tell me the "proper eagle talk" I should be saying. I'm honestly clueless as to what you mean by "one of them"...

We don't know if they are good or bad this year, so history is all we have and history says they aren't good.

Losing to KY would have been a MAJOR DISAPPIONTMENT. If we want the respect we had in the late 90's to early 2000's these are MUST WIN games for us.

Well....according to every recruiting service they did. Whether it showed Saturday night is another question.
