So how many will end up being Bearcats? My prediction: none.

if we were in the B12 and Jim Tressel was our coach bet that would change real fast...

One of them has offers but they're MAC schools so we should be at the top of their list.

Cincinnati was on most of their offer sheets. We're just not going to beat OSU, UM, MSU, or any big P5 programs with the AAC stamp of approval.

I think Houston does it because the traditional Texas powers are down right now and Baylor and TCU have risen up to fill the void.

USF has done it because I think a lot of Florida prospects are overvalued.

An invitation to a more prestigious conference will be the first step to picking some of these guys off.

Houston does it because 8 of the 9 coaches have direct recruiting and coaching ties to Texas and the area around Houston. They know that state inside and out.

Their staff was put together brilliantly.

Herman stated in the interview after he got hired that he was going to put an experienced staff together that knows how to recruit that region to lock down Texas. He did that. Every member of that staff has recruited TX and like I said, 8 of the 9 have personal roots coaching in the state. They know Texas and the Houston metro.

We hired a bunch of guys from the south who still need a GPS to find high schools around town. 4 years in and multiple staff hires later, closest guy we have to someone experienced in recruiting our own region is our football ops guys who cannot recruit off campus. Brilliant.

Yeah, with Tressel we'd just get the death penalty, but at least the players would get some nice tattoos as parting gifts.

RE: Cincinnati's top 10 Class of 2017 (football) recruits
Watching Houston reminded me of what could have been here had Kelly stayed. I think Jones too would have been able to really mine the HS kids here.

Tuberville came here and specifically mentioned having to recruit within a what 100 mile radius of UC. And how this area and being able to get local kids was a key selling point in this job.

Forgot 3 bowls disasters or the embarrassment at USF. This...his coaching staffs and the inability to recruit here is the biggest failure of this regime. I sit here and laugh thinking how UC touts tuberville as a selling point for expansion. Ignorant.

That Bohn can't see what a Houston is doing ...and seems content with tuberville...well that's an indictment on bohn.

People say UHs win won't help them in big 12. But this league is different from the others. They don't expand on market or new territory or academics. TCU and WVU. This ain't the ACC taking Syracuse and Pitt or Big 10 taking Rutgers and MD. Or pac12 expanding reach with Utah and Colorado.

Let's hope this tuberville disaster...the Babcock legacy...isn't the albatross that ties UC to the G5 good.

I don't care anymore...I see pedophiles and rapists at these other schools and they keep on ticking with no real penalty so whats a few free tatoos?

Bring him in. Least we will win....unlike with grandpa
