RE: Gamethread: Rice Owls @ WKU Marshmallows
Big cold front should be rolling thru on Friday in Bowling Green. Saturday high 45, low 25 w/ north wind. Not sure how either team is built for that but guessing whoever manages ball security best should get a W.
Bloom hoping Reed (WKY QB) looks like that Marshall QB from two-years ago on a cold day in Huntington who was throwing gift-wrapped picks like he had money on Owls.

Introducing...the Hilltoppers' helmets for this Saturday's game with Rice: these are hands down now the best helmets in college football..only one thing that would be better, of course...

It's currently snowing (and 32 degrees) in Bowling Green. It will likely end well before game time (or turn into rain), but it's still going to be quite chilly.

OUCH! We got CREAMED! Congrats! I will actually miss playing them. They have had some good teams and a good program. I wish WKU good luck in their future, and maybe we'll see them again sometime onj the gridiron!

I'm not sure he's ready ... that was his first game as a college coach of any kind (I think).
A lot will obviously depend on how much we are willing to spend. If we're going to do this right, the number probably needs to have seven digits (or very close to it).
Well, we always seem to be looking for the gem in the rough. he might be one. a Young hungry assistant.
As for the $$$, I would prefer we find a good coach and pay what he asks, rather than just spending money to show we care. Buy quality.
Brian Brohm is now Jeff Brohm's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Purdue....but with the Louisville job coming open possibly for his brother Jeff, is Brain still viable for us if he wanted to move up to head coach, or has he passed us by since this was posted?

Jeff Brohm to Louisville--guess he'll just go ahead and take his bro with him.

RE: Gamethread: Rice Owls @ WKU Marshmallows
I'm sure Rice fans will appreciate these comments from Jeff Brohm:
Quote:When asked about a future opportunity to return to Louisville this past spring, Brohm's response was rather interesting.
“You know what ... after being at Purdue two years when it came open, that was a tough call. Tough call."
"To be quite honest, through my schooling and how I was raised, I believe in at least trying to do the right thing and having morals and values. It just was too early to leave. It just wasn’t right."
"You build relationships. People treat you right. The people there have treated me great. You talk to recruits, and they asked me things. Just a lot of things went into it, but, obviously, now we’re on Year 6. I love this town, this area. I’m an alumnus of Louisville. So anything can happen in the future.”
And now it has. Congratulations, Jeff.

Brohm did a pretty good job this year at Louisville. Almost pulled off the ACC Championship.
