Coach Carey singled him out at the Breakfast this past Saturday as the young guy that has been sticking out the most out of the new guys.

He definitely looks the part. The kid looks like he's 25, very mature look for his age.

The negative on a true frosh is not his size but the lack of strength. You always see a big difference between the 1st and 2nd season. Skill players are good to go as frosh, but DL and OL need that red shirt.
I agree to a point but weight training today is so much better at the high school level. I see the top players from Glenbard North and Lake Park hitting it hard in the weight room at Lifetime fitness. I think HS kids are training better at an early age.

I agree on the OL, but because of the rotational depth required for the D line, a case can be made for a standout freshman on the DL. JMHO. I have heard Ben has some added weight and even some height. Does anyone know of updated stats on the Frosh?

RE: Depth Chart?
I can tell you at the scrimmage Leroy looked under sized for a tackle, as in too lean. He isn't built like the other interior lineman yet but must have the strength to hang.

That appears to be the depth chart for spring, not the current one.

Yep, right away I saw Bebbe listed and was gonna say that's not the one I'm looking for.

RE: Depth Chart?
Clayton Glasper 6-4 230 - really needs to be on the field. With KG on the other side I would think that would be match up nightmares.
Both Left Guards are seniors. Who moves over next year?
Jake Ambrose - I sure hope he learned a lot last year.

RE: Depth Chart?
Couple of surprises to me...Lincoln Howard moved inside to guard. Ruka & Myers 5th year Srs already that time blew by fast. Anthony Brooks 2ND team CB, not sure if we ever had a quality #3 corner as good as he is. ... Would like to Thomas on the field more at DT, he list as a #2. LeRoy did make the depth chart as a true FR....and another Marcus Jones is listed along with Huff as #2 RB. We are obviously DEEP at RB. Now let's play some smash, physical and take it to them!

There's more to being a receiver than just being tall.

Surprised to not see Alton Meeks the transfer from Iowa State on the 2 deeps. I thought he was a starter in Spring?

I would think Shane Evans goes to guard next year for sure.

The D-line rotates a lot of guys, I'm sure we'll see him on the field. If he's not on the two deep, maybe a D- line is deeper than we thought or he's injured.

Truth. Glasper looks the part but doesn't play the part.

Re: Glasper and LG Ron Brown, sometimes with the early depth chart, the Srs. are placed a bit higher and the hope is after some experience the underclassmen move up. JMHO.
