Terribly sad, especially when you think about not just being 4th in the West, but being 7th overall in a 14 team conference. A conference which is either the worst or 2nd to worst conference in the nation.

More embarrassing news: The Coaches Pre-season All-Conference Team for 2018 includes ZERO Southern Miss players on Offense or Defense. Only our placekicker made it.

So what's the expectation for Hop in year 3? Monk took an 0-12 team to the championship in 3rd year.

Honestly I don't expect much at all from Hop. what do we really think hes gonna do? He's an avg coach at best and he's here for as long as he wants to be because as they say "he's one of us". He will win just enough games each year to make us consistently avg. It is what it is and by college football standards we are a avg team at best.

I think UAB will have a sophomore slump and we will finish in 3rd.
