Rice and UNLV have now been added to this list.

In other news, the Big 12 is interviewing the entire country of Canada next. The goal reportedly is to build the best hockey conference EVER!

They are just trying to get as much money as they possibly can. I hope this burns them.

What happens to the Big 12 when the networks (ESPN/FOX) decide to send the monies directly to the schools instead of the conference?

Well, they are kind of doing that already. Since their T3 is totally separate from the rest of the TV contract that is how ESPN paid Texas directly for the LHN, FOX pays Oklahoma directly another 8 million a year that the rest of the conference doesn't get, and how ESPN pays Kansas another 8 million a year that the rest of the conference doesn't get.

So Texas isn't the only school with a sweetheart deal. It's just that theirs is twice as big as those of Kansas and OU. Many of the rest of the Big 12 only get around 3 million for their T3.

RE: Big 12 interviewing 17 different schools
My personal philosophy in this world is that people are invariably one of two things, stupid or ass holes.

Ultimately, no matter what happens to a person or what one does to another the rationale can be found in one of those two categories. The person is either unaware that what they did was ****** or they are simply an ass hole and 99% of the time it is the first one.

That said, I'm not sure which one the Big12 is at this point. They've shown it could be either one.
