Don't know anything about him but given the limited number of baseball schollies and the fact that children of University employees receive a pretty substantial discount on tuition, is it really necessary (or wise) to burn scholarship money on the AD's son?

you have at least 10 walk ons in baseball. He will have a half tuition waiver that all full time employees get so its likely he doesnt use up a s/s.

I highly doubt he will be on scholarship no matter how good he is. He'll get a lot of money otherwise so they won't need to use a scholly on him. But of course he wants the recognition of signing just like every other kid. Just because they announce him as a signee doesn't mean he's on baseball scholly. Same with a kid that gets academic money.

IMO..........I'm guessing he'll get the minimum $$ offer. This was more or less a PR move so dad/son can say he was offered a D1 baseball scholarship.

Heard he's better at basketball.
