OK, our offseason is racing to an end.... Football and MBB are starting to practice for the 2016 season. So, what do you dream will happen this year?!

While I would love both, I think our Football program really needs to start establishing itself. We need some featured success in football.

Bowl Game. Why go to the NCAA's when there is the Vegas 16? Seriously though bowl game. It is important for the growth of the football program to take that next step.

Petey, I could not bring myself to vote. I want them both, and I want them now. I respectfully abstain!

EDIT: And you round ball guys should really appreciate my abstention. You all know that I am primarily a football guy, and Lord knows that going to a bowl game for Bobby Wilder is high on my personal wish list for the Monarchs. But a Texas Two-Step to the Sweet Sixteen in the Big Dance for Jeff Jones would also make my day. Could this be the year both teams make a statement before leaving for the AAC. Now that gets my vote!

The basketball team is overdue for an NCAA trip. I want to see the Monarchs make it back to the big dance more than anything. However, football needs to get to a bowl. If we don't that means it would be 2 losing seasons in a row and 3 straight without a winning record. I know if we go 6-6 and get in that isn't a winning record but still, I don't want to have another losing season. So, I can't pick!

Bowl Game for sure. Don't get me wrong, i love our MBB but we need to start establishing a reputation in football.

With Conference realignment around the corner, I would say a Bowl Game. Like it or not, football drives the conference bus.

Bowl Game over a 1 and done, but I'd take Sweet 16 over a bowl game.

To answer the poll - I love Bball and would be attending an NCAA game wherever it is....but for the future of the program I've gotta go with Football bowl. We need to start making headway there.

Yeah. I appreciate your work Petey, but I agree. Also it shows up on my phone in tapatalk whenever I click on the ODU forum it proudly shows boobs front and center.

I gotta ask.. do you use tapatalk and you're randomly dropping chick pics in threads so they show up as the image for the thread? If so that's strangely impressive.

NCAA, I love football, but the NCAA appearance puts dollars into our coffers and is more prestigious. I know football needs the positive reinforcement and i support the team in getting there, but 6-6 to go to a bowl is everyone gets a trophy in my book and rewards mediocrity.

Yes but winning a low end bowl game is a step both in the right direction, and into a larger world. One day we will become the Master.
