Same name I've had since the Old Eagle talk of the late 90's...quit ET when they started blocking my anti Bower posts and went to Eagle Post full time. It was a great board for many years. I've been on this board for a long long time too, but just don't post much here because not many Eagles and I saved my good stuff for EP..

It would be nice to see this take off and be a big one stop place for Eagles.

LaurelEagleSon here. I posted under this same name on EP and BGN. Posted on my dad's moniker (LaurelEagle) on CSNBBS for years and years. Gonna miss having the rep (big 44! haha) I built up with that name here, but figured it would cause less confusion if I just kept the same name everywhere.

Depends on the size, scope, and traffic load. Having a diverse feature set AND a lot of traffic is actually quite difficult. Which is why I'm long term coding something from scratch to replace all this in golang while keeping the look/feel and adding features I want.

Also, I believe somebody said he was hosting at GoDaddy? Yea, running a modern PHP based message board on a GoDaddy shared environment is its own little adventure in hell. Rarely does GoDaddy's software versions and the versions preferred by the board software developers overlap as the same versions, just for starters.

ditto....the local boards had way too much yammer w/o substance....every now and then I would find something worthy....however, it was rare when it happened...

never joined any of them....the cusa board has always been light years better than the local boards....have always enjoyed talking with other conference fans over the years on that one....is much more entertaining and informative....

hopefully, with this being moderated and having access to the ignore feature as a tool to weed out some of those EP clowns, this will evolve into being a good source for communicating southern miss specifics w/o overloading the cusa board.....
