Neat. Dayton's stadium must be an oven in August. There are some really nice HS stadiums in the state, probably nothing rivaling Texas, though.

Welcome looks like an asphalt company's sales model.

There's a few of the small college stadiums I'd like to get to.

I like the neighborhood stadiums. Of the high schools, would like to get to Elder. A Princeton type stadium in the middle of a neighborhood.

Steubenville's is amazing. Has a big statue of a horse, used to spit fire but I guess it doesn't do that anymore. Mansfield Senior in another. Set in a bowl with great sightlines, no track, really close field. Noise doesn't leave it. Of course the best local is Mollenkopf. :) Doesn't get the crowds so much anymore and totally screwed up the "remodel," well not totally but I did get a good laugh when I saw in the plans they were putting the concessions behind the goal post. Tried to tell them but they weren't good listeners and did it anyhow. First extra point kick (or was it a field goal) nearly beaned the guy working the concessions. Now they have a big net.

Have they done any improvements to Roy C. Start HS field in the last 20 years?

I didn't notice any. Been a few years since I've been there.

I was there in the spring for a track meet. The bleachers on both sides have been replaced and the cement walkways between the gate and home stands and behind the home stands have been replaced. Other than that, it's the same.

Welcome Stadium is a pit and other than having availability after the track was torn out of the 'Shoe, I never understood why the state meet was held there. Jesse Owens Stadium is such a good upgrade for the state meet. That facility is great for track.
