He was obviously a very good high school player since he signed with Florida State, a Power 5 conference school. I don't know what his situation was there that caused him to transfer back here, but I am assuming (and I know that's always dangerous) that he'll probably take over Josh's spot this season.

Since Josh was here for four seasons, we knew what we had in him. But with Deshawn, we're dealing with a player who hasn't played in over a year, except in practices. It's safe to believe he's indoctrinated into our system, having spent a year as a redshirt. Did any of you ever see him play in high school? I'd like to hear from someone who saw him play in real competition. I've only seen him in limited practices, and not enough to draw any conclusions.

He has a crazy story. He actually committed to play at UAB out of high school. I'm not sure if it was a grade issue or a personal decision but he ended up at a Juco. Then Florida St. Now at Little Rock. On one hand it's scary when kids bounce around like that. On the other... He can't transfer anymore without loosing a year of eligibility unless he goes D2 or D3. So it's likely he sticks around

He played for the Arkansas Wings. Call DTS sometime when their AAU guy is on there and ask him.

I think he's a Little Rock area kid, and will finish his career here.
