CUSA and American Sports Network
I haven't heard much about this partnership lately. Does anyone have new information?

Are they still going to show games?

Thanks for the information. So that's pretty good. ASN is going to show some of the games and BEIN Sports is going to show one game.

That's at least half of the conference.

I might be mistaken but I think BEIN is only going to show one game this weekend. That is the UTEP game.

I forgot to mention that other networks are going to show games on Friday.

At least for week one, I think every CUSA game is going to be televised.

If you look at this, you can see streaming options for a few games over the first few weeks of the season, including some CUSA games.

Speaking of ASN, they have the option of televising 15 additional games. Anyone seen or heard anything about this process and when/if it might happen?

ASN is fairly responsive through their contact us page. I asked them about streaming games and they said they will only be streaming 1 game a week. I asked them if there would be a pay service to ensure I can see all the Herd games and they said in the Spring they will be introducing an Over the Top pay service for streaming.

As of now I'm pretty unhappy that they got most of the Herd games and there will be no easy way to see them in Chicago. I'd rather have had all our games on BEIN.

I'm in Wisconsin and only missed seeing 1 game on ASN last year. I had Directv then and have Dish now. Most ASN games were on multiple Comcast channels so if a game is not on Comcast Chicago and you have the sports package, you can watch (or I could last year) Comcast Bay Area or some other channel most likely. Never had a blackout problem.

Thats awful. I thought the whole point of having a game on ASN was so we could stream it. Their actual TV coverage sucks because their affiliates rarely carry games.

From what I can tell, the station up here in Baltimore has an option to carry games, but is not doing so. You'd think they would pick up the Marshall and ODU games at least.

I thought Baltimore had one of the 24-hour ASN stations. Is that not true?

I missed about 1/4 of the football and basketball games that ODU was shown on ASN. I hate that they hold Monarch Media hostage when you can't get the games in your area.

They do have a 24 hour station now, but from the link posted previously it looks like they won't be showing the ODU or Marshall games.
