Suicide Squad
It's like an 80s action movie. The plot (specifically the villain) makes little sense but it is a lot of fun. Deadshot and Harley Quinn are worth the price of admission. Don't expect too much out of the Joker.
It's stupid but fun. Most of the suicide squad characters are great.
I want to see this again.
BTW, there is an amazing mid credits scene.

I was barely interested in this to begin with, and now the reviews are just atrocious. Combine that with the fact that Joker is barely in the movie and I will just watch this one from my recliner in 3 months.
Hopefully DC gets a hit with Wonder Woman. That trailer looks very promising.

Not really a spoiler but Joker in this movie is like Vito Corleone in Godfather Part 2.
He's part of the movie, but he's got a B-plot thing going.
Batman is like Jesus in Ben-Hur.
And there is one incredibly cool cameo as well.

I was dying to see it and still will. I am shocked how poorly it is being received. The previews were so promising.
I want to petition Lat to be head of DC Movies to straighten their ish out.

I'd defer to Geoff Johns.

RE: Suicide Squad
I must be REALLY easily amused because I loved it!!!! I am a big fan of the Batman video games, so I already have an affinity for the characters and like the movie Focus, so they already have chemistry, but I thought this movie was MUCH better than BvS.
Yes, it totally requires the suspension of disbelief and it still is full of the political leanings, but it is still a great summer movie and fun ride. Harley makes the movie and I would gladly watch her again and again![/u]

RE: Suicide Squad
Zero idea why the bad reviews.
Sure Its derivitaive and the same superhero movie tropes but it was not nearly as dull as BvS.
It was entertaining, good visuals and definitely worth the price of admission
Some of the one liners fell flat and were generic.
Still struggling to understand the level of dislike.
And this is coming from someone who thought BvS was average and fully understood why people didn't like it.

RE: Suicide Squad
Spoilers.... Question for folks who have seen it....
Spoilers.....
Soooo...
What makes absolutely no sense is why did Enchantress have access to the bottle with Incubus? I know it was established she get teleport anywhere, but there is no evidence she vamped to the bottle. In addition, why was she and Flag in Midway City in the first place? That whole sequence was stupid.
I will give credit that they were saving Waller. It was kind of obvious to me she was the target right before the reveal, but it was played fairly well. It was still dumb when she went to a helicopter after they for her out of the building. Seems like she would have driven out of the city with task force x.

Yung feller, there was a day that all of the big summer blockbusters got horrible reviews. People went to movies because they wanted to see the movie, not because it was certified fresh by Rotten Tomatoes.
Will Smith's Hancock had poor reviews and still grossed $227 million domestically.
Poorly review highly anticipated movies get big first weekends. If audiences don't like it, it has poor legs and doesn't last long.

Not so sure about that...the Fri to Sat drop was big and Cinemascore is a B+ (better than BvS but not good enough to show good legs). It'll keep dropping sharply over the next few wks but the opening is big enough that the movie will end up being quite profitable.

Well, depends on how much it cost to make and how much profit it shows really in order to determine success.
My son loved it. I've already told a friend it was good, etc.
I don't think blockbuster by any stretch.

Yep.
I don't get the overall bad reviews.
Liked it about the same as GOTG.

Apparently the CinemaScope for those under 35 is a little higher so I don't know if the drop will be as big as the B+ will indicate.

Remains to be seen I suppose. The big Fri to Sat drop is troublesome. However, a movie like this opening this big is still awesome.
