So, having said that, I don't wish for Syracuse to become a power within the conference, but I will at least wish for them to always destroy any non-conference opponent they face.

I watched Marcus Vick stomp on the back of Elvis Dumervil's knee in the 2005 Gator Bowl. I've held onto that as well. Something about that game I guess.

I can't believe they are making us wait until 2020 to get revenge.

I'd like your chances a lot better if you weren't located in a recruiting desert. Lots of people but not much high school talent in the Northeast.

Agreed. The ceiling at Syracuse is fairly low because of the gargantuan recruiting challenges. I don't think it will be possible for them to recruit at a national title level.

However, there's still plenty of room between that ceiling and where they've spent most of the last couple decades. I think Syracuse football can be relevant again, and agree that would be great for the ACC. And to be honest, great for college football.

There's no question that Syracuse football has been underwhelming for the past 14 years. During that time they only won 38% of their games. But for the 15 years before that the won over 72% of them. Fifteen years may seem like an eternity for fans, but it's not so long ago that their recruiting territory has changed permanently for the worse. There is enough talent there for the Orange to become competitive again. Other schools have overcome 15 year slumps. Syracuse can, too.

I would be happy to see Syracuse win 8 games a year.

Syracuse' comeback has a bad start. Instead of 400 million dollars expansion to three sides they announced in 2015, now they will just spend 205 million dollars on a new roof. Still I think all ACC teams are excited to see Carrier Dome at least get that translucent roof, same as Vikings' new $1.1 billion stadium roof.

Improved football is just great. But the real value of Syracuse to the ACC will be cable carriage revenue from New York state. Let's start thinking like the B1G.

Syracuse can field some tough football teams. And ACC membership gives them access to players from southern states, not to mention cash, that they didn't have previously.

Great programs take take time to build, but there's no ceiling on Syracuse.

We'll see what happens.

Look at the time stamp. It was 2016 news. SU has modified their dome renovation plan one more time in 2017.
