He's been covering Rice since early this summer but he just made a separate Twitter to cover Rice only. His other account also covers Houston HS athletics.

On a broader note - this shows how little I pay attention to the Chronicle any more.

The new writer covering Rice for the Daily Cougar ... er ... the Houston Chronicle, tweeted this afternoon about some high school basketball player who has narrowed his college choices to 9 schools, one of which is UH (not Rice).

I think I see the strategy there. He is trying to trick the UH fans to follow him which will be then be credited to his Rice coverage.
He has 71 followers. Got to do something.

Looks like the Chronicle may be bringing back the weekly Rice Notebook column of years past. This was posted by our beat writer, Adam Coleman. It's been said before but bears repeating - if we want increased coverage by the Chronicle, we need to visit the link, comment on the article, follow Coleman on twitter and RT/comment him there too:
