I don't know about anything related to him being a 5* recruit, but I did read where he was the 5th string qb on ECUs depth chart after spring.

I read it in the first article in this thread, but no clue why it said that.

He's got a couple of years to improve so don't think he'll be starter our first season back but everyone still has a year to prove it's their job & earn it.

The reality is that none of the UAB football players has to worry about team position rankings until spring practice of 2017. That is the earliest any depth chart will have any significance for the first game in the fall. Until that time, an alphabetical list of players at any position will be sufficient for the fan base.

I think he is a half a star now............... ;-)

Jacobs' highlight film was quite impressive. He is very athletic and reminds me of a former Georgia QB named Andy Johnson who could really run and actually wound up playing RB as well as QB for the Dawgs.

That kind of versatility in light of today's "Wild cat offense" may fit into Blazer plans for 2017.
