Jail time for Cardinal for hacking

Jail time for Cardinal for hacking
Serious jail time for the fired St. Louis Cardinal director of baseball development Christopher Correa. He got 46 months and a $279,038 fine for hacking the Houston Astros player personnel data base and their e-mail system per the AJC.

Surprising that the penalty would be so high on a sports related spying episode. The one paragraph blurb doesn't indicate that he did any damage to their system.

The claimed damage from the hacking was $1,700,000.
