This is why interpreting polls this early is like banking on early verbal commitments in college football.
In this Monmouth poll, it does appear that the third party candidates (Johnson and Stein) appear to be waning.
Yet in the CNN poll ( here), Johnson posts his highest percentage yet of 13%, plus Stein's 5%.
So in the same week, one poll shows third party candidates getting crumbs, the other shows them with the strongest percentages yet.
