I think Higgins may pass him this week, and he has one less week of playing as is.

You are correct Mullens played one more game than Higgins. You might be correct as it stands there isn't a lot of difference between them anyway. With LSU looming for USM and a depleted UMASS for Higgins he might torch them and claim that spot and make the difference clear.

I don't recall seeing UTSA's Dalton Sturm in the conversation, but for what it's worth, he's 3rd in C-USA right now in QB Rating. He doesn't have the stats some of the others have in terms of yards and such, but some teams don't throw as often as others do.

The top two QB's are way ahead of everyone else, by at least a 25 point QB rating. There's your answer to this thread.

By the way, Higgins' stats are from only 8 games (he didn't play against Arkansas.). I believe White's stats are from 9 games.

Yeah, but...the Alabama game shouldn't really count 04-cheers

Technically a little less than 7.5 games

True. He didn't play at all in the 2nd half against Rice.

The shocking thing about that Rice game was how bad the score got so early. It was 28-0 in the 1st qtr. 41-0 by halftime, and Tech had already been cruising with 5 min left in the 2nd qtr. It was literally like an open date for most of Tech's starters. IMO, lopsided scores like that are not good for the conference, but I'm sure glad we were on the right side of it.

They got to start resting up early and no injuries! It was good for them. Didnt need to be pushed, they deserved it.

Stockstill isn't as high this year as he should be, because MT receivers have dropped over 30 passes on the year. Still pretty damn impressive considering he lost four of his top five receivers right before the season started.

Just for a fair comparison...White didn't play much of the second halves against Rice, HBU, ODU, and FAU either.

Yeah I think it ends up being pretty similar playing time for them all after substitution time.

RE: How would you rank 2016 CUSA QB's?
Fair enough, guys. Only other thing I'd add about Sturm is that he doesn't exactly have the best line in the conference blocking for him, as evidenced by his 28 sacks in an offense that throws it considerably less than some other teams to begin with. And he's a good scrambler btw. So in lieu of that, I think his stats would likely be even better if he had more time in the pocket, and we'd likely throw it more often then as well. I think he's having a terrific year so far considering. Completing passes isn't nearly as difficult when you have time and quality receivers.

Can Klugh be added in to this list? He is about to make start number 4 for Charlotte.

UTSA should find a player named Ruger. Then their offense could fairly be described as Sturm, Ruger, and Company.

Higgins chasing down that defender despite knowing it would come back was pretty awesome

That play generated one of the biggest cheers from the Tech crowd yesterday. Higgins must have chased that CB 60 yards down field before diving and making the tackle around the Tech 20-yd line. Higgins showed extreme "no quit" character on that play.

I think it was a 70-80 yard "return." No quit in that dude.

Speaking for the students, that was definitely one of our favorite moments. Well besides, Henderson returning the opening kickoff. Or Craft returning the onside kick. Or Taylor kicking the PAT. Or... well, you get the point 02-13-banana

I didn't have a good angle on it from my far corner section of the stadium, but wasn't he tackled at around the 5-yard line? That play was very emblematic of how our day went btw, because we made a great play which had the potential for a 14-point momentum swing, but still screwed ourselves with the offsides, and our guy was chased down just before he reached the finish line anyway.
