I wouldn't expect another 30 win season. That would be too much to ask, even of Chris. But would the program continue to play at a championship level? Obviously, we'll never know, since Chris isn't here. But it's interesting to contemplate where the program could have gone had he stayed. Maybe we could have become the Gonzaga of the South, as some have mentioned in the past.

There is an old saying. You don't want to follow a legend. You want to follow the guy who follows the legend. Hopefully Wes can follow the legend and keep us on a winning track.

I would say that would have been likely, but far from a definite. Arlington is going to be loaded this year. Plus we had one of those rare seasons when everything just broke right. Good coaching had a lot to do with getting the breaks, but even the best coaches don't always get them. And remember - we had no injuries of any consequence.

Stand by my opinion that Coach Beard would have gotten us back to the dance. As I observed in practice and at the home & road games, he was the difference maker
