He asked the the tazed individual for his name. Did he not remember his name? Why is that so difficult. Does he have a disability? My little kid can tell you their name on the spot. Then he continues to stay in car while being asked politely to stand up. If the individual stands up, the can tell his height and the situation could be resolved along with his ID. Then the worst part is the individual continued to place his left hand under the seat or glove compartment.
The cops should have dragged his butt out of the car at that time.
Personally I think the cops went light on him especially when he was reaching.
Once again, this individual wasn't taught respect. He should have went to an island 6 years ago about 40 miles north of Savannah and learned some respect since his parents obviously FAILED in this part of parenting.
You guys will find any bull**** reason why the cop is right. We don't live in a police state. 4 cops roll up on you screaming at you for just sitting in a car is pretty intimidating. He told them his name is "Patrick". Everyone of those cops should be fired.

while I don't disagree that he's a dipshite....they still should've approached without the bs rhetoric and asked for ID....
hell, I could call myself anything.....like stinkfist.....
Have any of you been in Savannah GA lately? Walk through the ghetto there and let me know how it turns out. Haha.
That city is turning into Jacksonville FL.
Go though a police academy and watch 500-1,000 dash cam videos of cop getting shot at or violently attacked in simular situations. The second the suspect leaned back and reached with his left hand under the seat and near glove compartment I would have taken a different approach besides verbal commands.

I heard him twice say "my name is Patrick" the cop just talks over him...

I still contend they should've asked for ID....
I could say my name was julio if I wanted to....
standard procedure is to ask for motherfuckking ID....

He takes 5+ seconds to answer his name and says it with confusion.
I know Savannah public schools suck, but they do teach u how to say your name. I'll let him fix your car. Dude ain't touching my car.

If u ask him for ID then a few problems surface. 1st the individual will be going in his front or back pockets near his waistband. You never want to encounter that especially in Savannah. Also the ID can be in glove compartment or center console. Once again, key hiding spots for a weapon.
I'd rather have him exit vehicle, place in handcuffs and DETAIN NOT ARREST (which the public still can't figure out there is a difference), search suspect for weapons or contraband, then find identification and run car info.
All of this could have been avoided by doing what the officer said.

So this is a reason to surrender his constitutional rights to some cop on a wild goose chase?

to your last statement.....if you read my first response, I already said that and reiterated in subsequent posts....
if the officers would've approached based on their supposed training and asked for ID, none of that shite would've happened (that way)
asking for ID is SOP every fk'n day in that situation.....give me fk'n break with that bs....that's their job

Then he sat back down without being instructed to do so.

Go live in the ghetto and tell me how life is instead of living in white suburb with your little computer. As a ghetto town police district to go along in a ride along. You'll understand what a cop encounters everyday. Career criminals packing heat, slinging dope, with no respect for public (man or child bc they were brought up that way).
