Just because it's a big hit doesn't mean that it's targeting. Same way that every defended pass play over ten yards isn't automatically pass interference.

The first targeting call was ridiculous and the flag was thrown by an official who couldn’t possibly have seen enough of the play to even make the call. The second one was more borderline imo, and it took me a couple looks at the replay on my phone before I was certain our guy led with the shoulder.
I've seen so many screw ups across college football that I have zero confidence that even on replay they get it right. But I can see from my cheap seats that it's not targeting. How much would that suck if a kid has to sit out even a portion of a championship game due to a weak targeting call.

It wasn't the time. It wasn't the cost. It wasn't the parking or the commute. It wasn't the competition. It wasn't the team. There's nothing to do there. I can put my hands in front of me, form a rectange with my fingers and have lower resolution and game atmosphere and food and traditions than we have at home. True, the band just isn't the same but face it, when is the last time they put on an interesting or fun filled halftime? Let the kids shine, use their talent, have fun. More Ohio U (only original take), less Toledo Symphany. If it was a "good atmosphere," which I doubt compared to anything above most biddy games, it would be a first. It was same ol same ol atmosphere.

Congrats to the coaches for having the kids ready. Now, can we get a commitment that no coach leaves town nor has a job interview even locally until AFTER the MACC? Do it for the last 6 years' of student-athletes that have sent and will soon send another on to a multi-million dollar contact. Give them your all and your faith and sacrifice the ego for one freakin week before the MACC. Between the MACC and the bowls, sure go for it. Be honest about it but go for it. But before the biggest game in 12 years? Please, just say "NO!!!" Ohio U, lol. That's on the head coach.

I do agree about the in game entertainment. The video cams are ridiculous and that stupid Yark auto bit needs to be dumped or revamped. I’m sure we have limited resources but the only time I am entertained is when a kid with a net attempts to catch a shirt or some poor college kid attempts a FG. Just get rid of the emoji, kiss and anything else cam. And no more singing or dancing competitions unless you’re going to include fat guys in a dance off...

Perhaps another idea is in between quarters show video montages of previous years or biggest wins in school history. Something, anything to show the success of UT football.

As for the band they need to start playing in small groups around the stadium in between quarters or during timeouts. Engage the fans.

I'm a BIG proponent they're under utlizing that video board, even before the games. It's a great crowd draw, even if it's to show cartoons before an 11:30 game. Old Rocket games, highlights. For all my beatchin, I can't mention enough how entertained I am by whoever puts together those action and promotional videos, even the non-football ones. Just looking at those, I have to believe they have someone on campus that knows how to get a party started.

Yark is a tremendous UT and community supporter and I agree, they could be better served. Rightly so, theyre no doubt proud of their traditional ads but I think minds put together could come up with something both business related and fun. Peddle car races, drone races, .. if they're going to have a "cam" a drone cam connected to the video board is going to give people a perspective on the view no other could.

But the concessions show, they just don't care. Game atmosphere and attendance simply isn't a priority. Heck, they treat it like it's a distraction to the bottom line.

They need to hold a contest, elect the best UT party animal from the 50s, 60s, 70s, ...., get them in the room and tell them they can't leave until attendance averages over 22k. No potty breaks, no depends.
