Only 2000 miles to go. 15K for maybe 10 feet? Bargain price. At that rate, you can build the whole thing for only 15 billion. Of course it's pretty low and wouldn't keep anyone out unless it was at least 3-5 times higher which would make the price skyrocket. But why waste a good photo.

Oh crap, I multiplied it by 15 instead of 15,000. Actually 528 (5280 feet in a mile so 528 x 10) x 2000 (miles) x 15,000 = 15.8 trillion, not 15.8 billion. And again that's just for that 6 foot high wall that will really do a great job keeping the immigrants out.

You were right the first time.

$15,000 per 10 foot section

15,000/10 feet = $1,500 per foot

2000 miles x 5280 feet/mile = 10,560,000 feet

10,560,000 feet x $1,500/foot = 1.584e10....

or $15,840,000,000.

So 15.840 billion dollars.

You were right the first time.

$15,000 per 10 foot section

15,000/10 feet = $1,500 per foot

or $15,840,000,000.

So 15.840 billion dollars.

So, basically we could have built 20% (400 miles) of that wall with what we spent on cash for clunkers.

Also, nevermind that a section of wall like that, but 15' tall should end up costing about $10/sq.ft. That would be $150/linear foot. That would be $792,000 per mile, or $1.584B. A drop in the bucket compared to what we lose to Mexico in stolen jobs/wages and stolen government benefits, free education, not to mention the unfair pressure their children put on our school classroom sizes, and how our children have to deal with those consequences.
