It's so great to see so many different departments at UAB getting involved! We've got the College of Arts and Sciences, Health Professions, the President, Student Affairs, the Provost, and Enrollment Management. (Did you know we had an office for enrollment management?)

It sort of annoys me that this is written as Blaze in first-person (old mascot habits)...but I can't stress enough how much the band deserves these new uniforms! Hope the campaign is successful.

Speaking of Blaze...I believe UAB Spirit Teams are looking to start a fundraiser to purchase a new Blaze outfit that they badly need as well.

All in favor of the spirit of the pride of Birmingham hope those new unis play the horns and drums loud and louder to sound of great music with some dance to the tradition of the Blazers hope they mix a little hunt with it and that other brother from birmingham. You catch the drift music makes noise and noise makes some down home music cause this is Alabama football from Birmingham the Southside. The sound and smell of a Trumphet that introduces the night to walk in and play. Go Team!!!

1 month to go: Here are a couple of preview images posted on twitter, though I'm not sure that showing mostly black (over green) uniform concept is going to generate a lot of buzz.

Does the new UAB Under Armor contract extend to the band uniforms? We could surely find some middle ground between "blah" and "too far out". Our band members should be able to take pride in their appearance on the field or in a parade.
