Agree. While I am excited to have what appears to be a special kind of player, I caution people not to fall in love with the stars attached to a player.
His film is strong, he was highly recruited, so the odds are he is going to be fun to watch and very productive.
I've been around this game a long time and the star label sometimes is exaggerated. Not saying it is here, I'd just say let's give the kid a chance to come in and play before we get too excited.
This unit needs depth. It has highly productive players already, but if you remember only one of the 4 top returning receivers played in the spring game.
I like this addition more because he gives us a six man rotation filled with impact players at WR. We did not have that to close out the season last year. We finished the year with only 3 of the top receivers. (WR position).
I am hopeful he truly is everything that comes with a 4 star athlete. If he is, this unit could put on a show each week, which bodes well for the run game too.
