About 3 days late on this one. Probably was listening to this while getting yelled at by faculty/campus PD for skating on campus where we were not supposed to be skating. One of the largest guitarists and shortest lead singers you will see.

I'm not sure if I posted the original a ways back but here's the new Director's cut:

Speaking of Prince, this is one of the most bizarre things I have read in awhile. Would have paid money to watch Prince having a pillow fight with Sinead and then chasing her across the freeway. Sounds like a Dave Chapelle skit.

I’ve been on a modern outlaw kick of late. The Hippies and Cowboys types.

Childers, Stapleton, Steeldrivers, Colton Wall, Sturgill Simpson, Cody Jinks...

You should check out Whiskey Myers if you like those guys.

One of my cousins who is really big into the music scene caught a concert at a hole in the wall bar by Stapleton, Sturgill and Isbell outside Atlanta probably 7 years ago. From someone who has been to a lot of concerts, and not necessarily a country fan, he said it was easily in his top 3 of all time. A little before they were on the cover of GQ and selling out huge concerts...all three singers linked to producer Dave Cobb.

All 3 of my kids are musically inclined (my wife is a CCM grad), so they wanted to watch American Idol this year and vote so I let them. Chayce Beckham almost killed himself leaving a bar after singing and wrecked his truck...moved back in with his parents before American Idol. Below is his 1st single he wrote and not bad if you like country music. While I haven't watched American Idol for probably 10 years, this year they had a pretty talented group of singers...the 15/16 rock girl Casey Bishop was my pick to win but Rock is tougher sell nowadays.

I've seen a ton of big shows over the course of my life, but I'd probably put that into my Top 3 as well. I've seen them all independently, but that's a helluva trio. For those into the outlaw scene, you have to check out the dude from Norwood, Arlo McKinley. He was the last person who John Prine signed to his label before he died. I suspect we'll be hearing a bunch from him.

RE: Bearcat Banter Music Lover's Thread: Whatcha Listenin' To Son?
So, I came across an old photo album where I kept all my concert ticket stubs in. Brought back a lot of memories from my youth days. I'll post a live tribute song of the bands I saw in chronological order starting with my first rock concert on June 27, 1984, in the Toledo Sports Arena [Sports Hole LOL]. I was 16 years young and my high school best bud's dad dropped us off for the show. I lost my concert virginity watching Bon Jovi open up before they broke it huge a few years later. The headliner...
