To progressives taking any position they do not agree with is either xenophobic, homophobic, misogynistic, or racist. Those are the choices regardless of the issue or the facts.

From your posts, I would infer that you have a fair amount of academic education, but little or no experience actually getting things done in the real world.

Agreed.

He reminds me of when we would get probies fresh out of the academy. They knew everything they needed to know about firefighting up until the point they had to actually do it for real in an uncontrolled, non-sterile environment then they found out exactly how little they really did know.

The issue is whether or not I demonstrate a working knowledge of the issues, or whether I am simply spouting a party line.

I have literally paid zero attention to Brexit (politically) because I don't really care about it. *by that I mean who is in favor or not and why) I have not personally seen Trump OR Obama or Hillary make any specific comment on it, and I take 'claims' of what they've said (on here) with a massive grain of salt. I don't care what any of them think about it. It's not our country... it's not our decision... and it doesn't really impact us in any huge way (imo). The collapse of the EU probably would but maybe not. Lots of moving parts... far too many to predict with any certainty.,, and we're nowhere near the collapse of the EU

I can make an argument both for and against Brexit... it depends on what your priorities are... so anyone that acts like EITHER answer is 'stupid' is simply being political. Arguing one is better than the other is fine... but arguing that one is stupid is not.

it was owl and yourself who made such a big deal over credentials.

guess we can agree to disagree. the fact is that 52% voted for something that puts territory the UK has held for 300 years at risk. voted for something that comes with grave economic consequences. voted for something that the majority of the educated thought was a bad idea. I would say that does more than enough to meet the definition of stupid.

I only raised credentials because you claimed my opinions were based in partisanship, ignoring that i expressed no opinion on their decision. Owl only supported my claims when you essentially called me a liar. I realize that YOU are incapable of seeing past the politics, but that is not my problem. MY opinions come from education and experience. Yours clearly come from your party. I would say THAT more than meets the definition of 'stupid'.

As for your claims above, that's just more partisan bull****... like the left always claiming that they are more educated, despite the fact that much of their education is in things that don't involve economics. A doctorate degree in art or sociology or English or history or any of a number of 'favorite' majors for liberals doesn't in any way make you an expert in economics... and certainly doesn't make you more informed about such things than even a high school dropout who nonetheless went on to be a successful entrepreneur. In THIS case however, I not only have the experience, BUT the education as well. So you lose on both counts. THAT was my only reason to bring up credentials.

More to the point, I don't see how you are in ANY position to tell people of the UK what they should and shouldn't do. The US has held all sorts of territories for quite some time, and I'd have no problem giving much of it up... if that is what the people wanted. Many would argue that Obama was elected and Hillary may also be based on 'stupid' people... right or wrong doesn't matter. It's how it works.

LOL. That reminded me of the time a rookie told a man hurt in an accident, "man, that looks bad". I had to talk to him. It was funny afterward.
