Emails: Key Security Features Disabled on Clinton's Server
Quote:State Department staffers wrestled for weeks in December 2010 over a serious technical problem with then-Secretary Hillary Clinton's home email server, causing them to temporarily disable security features that left the server more vulnerable to hackers, according to emails released Wednesday.
Just weeks later, according to previously disclosed emails, hackers attacked the server, forcing Clinton's staff to shut it down. The next day, one of Clinton's closest aides, Huma Abedin, wrote to other high ranking staff: "Don't email hrc (Clinton) anything sensitive. I can explain more in person."
...
The emails, reviewed by The Associated Press, show that State Department technical staff disabled software intended to block phishing emails that could deliver dangerous viruses. They were trying urgently to resolve an apparent conflict between the server's built-in email delivery features with a version of "ScanMail for Exchange" security software from Trend Micro Inc. that had been installed on her server. Clinton has not previously described any security protections on her server.
...
On Jan. 9, 2011, a State Department IT staffer was forced to shut down Clinton's server because he believed "someone was trying to hack us." Later that day, he wrote, "We were attacked again so I shut (the server) down for a few min." It was one of several occasions when email access to Clinton's BlackBerry smartphone was disrupted because her private server was down, according to the documents.

This is for all you HRC nut jobs claiming her server was safe and secure. The fact that even after this happened, the use of her private server continued is flat out ridiculous. This here is some serious incompetence on HRC and her staff.

Her server was a hot mess. No defending it.
She knowingly broke the law and should do time.
Secret and classified docs could have been posted on porn sites and they would have gotten less views than they did by agencies and governments worldwide.

Thought then Trend Micro was a great protection to have. Guess none of Them are really fool proof.

It is. But it needs to be executed properly. It conflicted with the email delivery setup. So they just...turned it off. Business as usual for HRC.

It's not incompetence, it's was willful, purposeful breaking of the law to hide and keep secret what she was up to. Can't believe they then "turned off" government protections to continue the hiding......

Here's the whole reason for all of this BS:
Quote:Fitton said he hopes Sullivan will view Pagliano's assertion of the Fifth Amendment as evidence that Clinton's private email setup may have been designed to evade the Freedom of Information Act. "The judge can draw negative inferences about whether there was an effort to subvert FOIA," Fitton said.
I've said it before, Mills is the mastermind and the most anti-FOIA person to ever step foot in the political spectrum. The intent was to evade the public eye, what are they trying to hide? Well, I guess that's what the FBI is trying to figure out. This is turning out to be more than just classified emails.

My guess, Clinton foundation money from foreign countries to be used as a campaign war chest in 2016.

Thank you. With all the talk of the email server and what did or did not get disclosed, I think the most damaging part of the affair is why she went to the effort to have an external server set up (and I doubt there are many IT geeks that go to the trouble of setting up a server for one email user). Subverting FOIA and subverting the oversight of her boss (POTUS) are very likely to have motivated her to do so, and a savvy candidate would hit on those issues in a debate or campaign, not the various absurd allegations that Trump has come up with.
