I'd say the poster who rushed to say it has been debunked gave something of a flip.

The "Remain" camp is extremely desperate right now.

Condolences and prayers to the murdered man of course. May the Lord be with his family.

I'd say the poster who rushed to say it has been debunked gave something of a flip.

The op was informed of the debunking then said HE didn't give a flip about the truth. Follow.

Not exactly "a flip" just mentioning something I read. that the shop owner who was quoted in the stories said he did not hear "britain first".

And honestly, I'm not even sure what yelling Put Britain First would even mean in this context. I suppose it may have something to do about them leaving the European Union but I haven't followed that story too closely so I'm not sure.

There is a group named "Britain First" which sits on the right of the Birttish spectrum and backs Brexit. They might be an extreme right wing group, I honestly don't know.

From what i've gathered they would be considered extremely far right even by our standards.

Looks like they'd be reporting otherwise by now if it were the case. Been plenty of time.

There are quite a few conflicting stories going around.

The common threads are:

1 - He was mentally ill
2 - Not a very political guy

everything else will shake out but *if* he was a brexit supporter he really hurt his cause.

So it's considered "extremely far right" for British people to want their politicians to put Britain first? I'm having a tough time keeping up with the left. As they spiral down the slippery slope to crazyville,

Like I said, the "Remain" campaign is desperate. They have absolutely no basis on which a "remain" vote has been, or will be, good for Great Britain.

A vote for "Leave" is one step away from the cuckoldry that has crept into that country.

You guys are both idiots. Britain First does not hold a single political office and is considered to be a fascist, nationalist, and militaristic group that deals in Christian fundamentalism and wants to start a religious war in the UK.

The politician killed was a woman. Young mom of two kids. But the sentiment is still valid.

Jo Cox 'killer' DID shout 'Britain first' as he shot the MP, insists Clarke Rothwell | Daily Mail Online

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-...death.html Wrote:Eyewitness Clarke Rothwell, 42, who was working near to the murder scene, said the man - named locally as 52-year-old 'loner' and handyman Tommy Mair - shouted 'Britain first' as he launched the attack on the mother-of-two, which occurred at around 1pm.
...
Another witness, Graeme Howard, 38, told the Guardian that he had also heard the attacker shout 'Britain first' before the shooting and during the arrest.

'I heard the shot and I ran outside and saw some ladies from the cafe running out with towels,' said Mr Howard, who lives close to the scene. 'There was loads of screaming and shouting and the police officers showed up.

'He was shouting "Britain first" when he was doing it and being arrested. He was pinned down by two police officers and she was taken away in an ambulance.'

I think this is a form of terror that we'll see more and more of throughout the world sadly. Supposedly the man who killed MP Jo Cox yelled at her 'Put Britain First' several times before shooting and stabbing her in a vicious attack.

That's been debunked... The person who has been cited as hearing that has said he heard no such thing.

debunked by who?

The original person quoted as saying it when asked said he never heard it. Since, others have claimed they heard it.

When he appeared in court today, the murderer said his name was 'Death to Traitors' when asked what his name was.
