RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
I agree. I think the coaches would love to spread those numbers across the classes. I can see them redshirting one or 2 from 2018 or even leaving a couple schollys unfilled and passed on to 2019. One thing for sure. They won't fill them just to fill them. Having those extra scholarships in pocket leaves the door open for late developing offers or transfers. They will use or not use the scholarships carefully.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
Coach Dawson at Woodberry Forest in Madison County, VA posted this to his FB page.

Coaches from William & Mary and Yale were on campus yesterday to check out 2018 G Max Johns. 4.25 GPA, 1250 PSAT (95th percentile), speaks fluent Chinese (Honors Chinese 6), plays the cello, wants to study Pre-Med and much more...best part, he's an even better person. #wfshoops #againstallodds #changingtheworld

Vantage Hoops lists him as one of the top ten guards in VA Class of 2018. 6'5" SG who can shoot, attack the rim, and rebound.

A 9/12 interview with Xavier Johnson. Lists his two offers (Towson and Manhattan) and all the schools that have shown interest, including WM.

Let's get Max Johns: he can play the National Anthem on the cello before games and yell at the refs in Chinese!

I like his game. If we offer, I'd think we have a good shot at him provided UVA doesn't enter the mix.

@NCSpartans William and Mary, Air Force, High Point have been in recently to see NCS '18 Andy Pack @AP3135

6'3" ’18 Andy Pack of Northern Guilford HS (Greensboro)

From a Nov 2015 article in Phenom Hoop Report:
Andy has tremendous basketball IQ and fundamentals for a freshman. He has been well schooled/coached and has a keen understanding of the game. His strongest attribute is his ability to shoot the basketball. He has a soft shooting touch and ability to shoot efficiency from the perimeter, especially in a catch and shoot situation. Once he gains more strength and explosiveness, his stock will skyrocket. Shooters translate and Andy has the making of an outstanding shooter at the appropriate next level.

Sounds like our kind of player.

As much as I hate Woodfairies, I like his game too.

Shubert looks a nice prospect. A little lacking on size, but as pure a PG as they come. Great ball handling, great vision and passing. Jumpshot has a little hitch in it, but he seems to shoot well. I think he'd make a nice addition to the Williamsburg 6.

Did Shubert pick up an offer during his visit? He has five D1 offers currently: Houston Baptist, Hampton, South Florida, American, and Mount St. Mary.

No offer announced, but that doesn't mean much one way or the other. I'm guessing not offered yet.

Only offer confirmed online is Younger.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
Peterson is an interesting prospect. Very skilled, long, with a nice stroke and a good motor. Very skinny and needs to add muscle. 6'7 now, and it was mentioned that he is projected to get to 6'9. Has the look of a potential major contributor if he can physically fill out. It is hard to tell what he will turn out to be at this stage. But, identifying these kids early is something that these coaches have done pretty well.

Grew 3" in a little over a year, so 6'9" is not a reach. Good ball-handling skills in a 6'9" guy would be fantastic.

Peterson is not an unknown. Offers already from Tulane, Kent State and IUPUI. Took unofficial to Northwestern which he has been a big fan of since a kid. Looking to go to Stanford, Northwestern and Princeton's bball camps. Great to get him on campus and probably due to Cohen having played for the same AAU team and coach. Peterson stated he was listening to feedback from his AAU coach regarding his recruitment. Expect he will blow up next summer, so better get him early.

I expect the same recruitment plan as Justin Pierce. Show interest and unofficial visit going into junior year. Then, shoot for the early commitment going into his senior year. By the looks of his offers vs the schools he is trying to attract, he wants a high academic school.

Also at Archbishop Wood today in Philly. Likely targets are 2018 F/C 6'8 Seth Pinkney or 2018 G 6'3 Andrew Funk
