RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
I suppose there is no way of quantifying whether we are getting more visits from better recruits (showing we are at least in the ball game) or if it's simply we know more about the recruiting than we have in the past.

I can't ever recall seeing so many unofficial visits this far out in a class.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
Who took unoffcial visits in the 2017 class? Off the top of my head I can recall six:
Jihar Williams, Luke Loewe, Eddie Scott, Carter Collins, Connor Crabtree, and Joseph Lanzi.

He was a 6'4 guard last year and then hit a growth spurt. He is quoted as saying Dr's think he'll be 6'9. He's starting to get some big 10 looks, so hopefully he was impressed.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
When Bynum posted on Twitter about receiving the offer from WM he included a pic of Thornton wearing the green and gold. Thornton's success here surely helps us recruiting in the DC area.

RE: 2018 Basketball Recruiting
WM in to see 6'8" F Elijah McNamara of Pickerington, OH
From tripledoubleprospects.com
'Evaluation: Long pick and pop forward with great upside, McNamara has a lot of talent and is slowly starting to put the pieces together. Has the size to be an impact guy around the rim, and even though he is thin, McNamara has physical upside to match his shooting touch from deep. If he can fill out his frame and become a more consistent inside-outside threat, McNamara could become one of the top ten players in the 2018 class without question, as you can’t teach his size.'
Offers from Stony Brook and Notre Dame (OH).
