He had a long affair and a son with another woman. She just passed away a few years ago and told her story.

LBJ slept around just as much if not more than JFK.

I'm sure Hillary is proud of LBJ

Hell, that's why I liked him...he knew he was an old racist, and STILL passed the civil rights act...Vietnam ruined his rep.

interesting, so , according to you, voting democrat is more important than real advancement for 1/6 of our citizens.. at least in this thread you have been honest about your plantation mentality...

Change the channel.

In the past 36 years 20 of those had a republican white house...So why didn't the black race see a great rise in those 20 years.

Education is the great equalizer and sorry to say but the education that the affluent is presented with is not the same as the education that the poor is given. Neither party has really done much to help that situation in a long time.

Now granted education must be stressed in the home as well, but a republican or democrat in charge isn't going to change that either.

We've had a lot of s h i t t y presidents. LBJ was in the middle of a long line of them. Although, it seems the trend has accelerated.

While you might be correct, also look at which party has been in control of Congress the majority of those years. Also might consider, which party CLAIMS to "represent" the black people?!!

The movie is very loose with a lot of facts in their presentation. LBJ did not come close to spearheading the charge, more closely that he was dragged kicking and screaming to having to sign it.

If you read Barr McClellans' book (he was one of LBJ's personal attorneys) that was the deal LBJ made with the devil, meaning his involvement with the assassination of JFK.
