So not to be Mr. Negative here, but it seems we are paying Mr. Ballard a lot of money for his expertise and then ignoring his expertise. Thats pretty much the standard operating procedure at universities, but I hate to see that happen with such an important project. Maybe Im reading too much into the article.

Im not sure that is the case. It seems he is saying X has to happen to met the deadline and the University is saying that X is not possible.

I think we should wise up and do what Mr. Ballard is talking about. Silly at this point to mess around and get in a hurry and possibly cut corners in the end, when he has given his professional opinion and he pretty much knows what it will take. These day there is simply too much political correctness.

What exactly is the difference in what you are saying and what monarx is saying?

He is saying they are ignoring his expertise. I'm saying maybe they aren't ignoring his expertise, but tell him that it is not possible.

Yeah, it's not as if they read his report and just said "well this is worthless" and trashed it. Some of his many recommendations will be followed, while others won't. SOP.

But its not impossible... I think you are substituting "they don't want to do it" with "It is impossible" which would turn your statement into the same statement as Monarx's.

RE: New Stadium Thread
It has begun

Test Borings in Lots 6 and 8 at the Stadium

In preparation for the new Stadium, contractors will begin taking boring samples in Lots 6 and 8 adjacent to Foreman Field. The work will begin on November 6th and continue through November 17th. During this time, sections of the affected parking lots will be cordoned off by parking services. We thank you in advance for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause the campus community.
