I know baseball recruiting is not as sexy as either basketball or football recruiting and there is usually less information out there but I thought a thread would be a useful place to put the things that we happen across on Twitter, etc.
For instance, yesterday William and Mary received a verbal commitment from David Hogarth (shortstop, 6'0" 170lbs, Havertown, PA).
A comment from Prep Baseball Report:
'3/15/16 6-foot, 160-pounder appears to have the ability to play all over the infield. Fields the ball out front, plays through well with his feet, and has solid arm strength. Made a nice play in rhythm to his left and then ranged a long way the same direction to field another ball. Right-handed hitter went 1-2 on the day and ran a 4.44 home-to-1B time.'
According to MaxPreps, he is hitting .286 with half of his hits being for extra-bases and only one strikeout in 25 plate appearances (he should have more than 25 PAs by this time of year so I assume these stats are incomplete).
He joins Jake Haney (pitcher, 6'3" 180lbs, Barboursville, VA) and William Moore (pitcher, 6'4" 188lbs, Charlottesville, VA) in our 2017 class. The 2016 class I feel is largely completed and can be seen at

I wonder if our magical postseason run will help get us some good recruits.
