That is taking the HB 971 issue and turning it into a cheap shot at ULM. But of course you didn't see it. And still no facts to back up either the claims that ULM is in worse shape than others, or that ltur is in better shape.

I already have said why I commented, so I won't repeat it. And we also wonder why there are so many 'sad and lonely' ltur fans that hover the SBC and RP boards.

That is not taking a cheap shot, that is a FACT. Since when is stating facts a bad thing?? Oh, I forgot that ULL fans wouldn't know the truth about anything if it hit them in the face.. I support that statement with the FACT that you guys just had to forfeit all those New Orleans Bowls you are so proud of.

The golden era of Cajun football = 14 wins in 4 years

Not hateful, just FACT

This cajun dude has negative repped you 14 different times, sometimes 6 in a row. Report that dude.

I've seen my rep suffer and figured it was the Cajun guy. But, I don't think I will report him. It's just a message board. He does enjoy making personal comments, even though Tech fans don't get personal with him. The guy has an obsession with La Tech and its fans. He finds something offensive about anything a Tech fan writes. His criticism of the post the Tech guy made about budgets, for example. There was no slam of ULM, merely an observation. Besides, it is disingenuous for an @ Lafayetter to defend ULM, as they constantly slam the Warhawks. The Hoax and ULMost, among others, are how they are commonly referred by Cajuns, who are the most disrespectful folks I have ever encountered. This Cajun guy unduly slams Tech at every opportunity. ZHarkins spent a lot of time answering this Cajun guys questions and the Cajun guy slammed him for it.

He doesn't bother me, but he does seem to enjoy being a pest. An extremely immature individual.

He is and abuses the neg rep. He only gives neg rep to a certain fanbase even if someone writes a thoughtful response like Zharkins or someone that has never given him any neg rep. So a immature petty person at best.

I wonder where that guy went? I'm surprised he hasn't responded. Maybe he finally realized that his posts don't make sense. The UL and/or Louisiana nonsense, e.g. I'm sure he recognizes that @ Lafayette's attempt to use anything other than UL@L is just plain wrong. On the other hand he may not be bright enough. He also is routinely willing to prevaricate.

He apparently was banned from the SBC board, too. I don't know why though.

He is saying that ATHLETIC depts that use GENERAL FUND monies (taxpayer dollars) cannot travel beyond 350mi. and expect the state taxpayer to subsidize the trips. This does not include LSU because their ATHLETIC dept DOES NOT rely on taxpayer dollars in order to survive.

A school can bypass the rule IF they make it on their own and do not dig into taxpayer kitty so pay for your own ticket or dont go.

That seem to be my understanding also.
As for the LSU system exemptions, I think I see why after researching the small LSU schools. (Not saying its right but a reason why other than the big LSU the other are exempted)
LSU-Alexandria and LSU-Shreveport are members of the NAIA and they are in a large conference (12 members Red River Athletic Conference) and only 2 schools fall a bit outside of that radius (Southwest - Hobbs, NM & Langston U - Oklahoma).
LSU - Eunice is a Jr. College and plays only 3 sports (baseball, softball and basketball). Baseball and softball vastly play locally anyway.

What I see this is more of an attempt to try to get all the Louisiana schools to play in the same conference or play more regionally.

It is an attempt by an LSU Ass Athletic Director to insure that only LSU and always only LSU continues to be the favored son. Tech, ULL, and ULM are all left to contend with Southland schools for money and presence in a small state. It bothers me that ass hats like Eager Eagle get on here and state that LSU is self funding and everybody else is not so its legit, when for the last 75 years schools in the University of Louisiana System have been hobbled by their own legislature at every turn. He fails to realize that LSU hasn't always been self sufficient and it in fact was propped up by the State Legislature for years. WE are starved to near death every year by that same state legislature and taunted by others for not being strong enough to do certain things for ourselves.

This ass hat, as referred to by Mr. Pilot, would like to expand on a couple of comments. First, it is true that LSU wasnt self sufficient and was propped up by the state for many years BUT we must add that all of the regional schools were being propped up at the SAME time. Then, in early `1980's, the Tigers athletic dept cracked the barrier and became self supporting to the point where they currently turn over millions of their profits to the schools general fund each year. The regional schools, however, continue to be financial losers and are still in a downward spiral.

I personally dont see this having anything to do with LSU being a favored son except it looks a little blurry as to why that couple of junior colleges in their system wasnt included and the program at LSU Alexandria is insignificant.

Bottom line is state is flat broke and many are questioning how it can continue to tolerate or justify the enormous financial losses incurred by the athletic depts in its colleges on an annual basis.

What "regional" schools do you speak of? I know that Tech and @ Lafayette are considered state wide schools by the BOR and National Research Institutions by other bodies.

Why do you have such a bone to pick with Louisiana Tech? That is a reasonable question. Would you please answer as to why Tech is so personal with you? You and the Cajuns guys obviously have a hatred of Louisiana Tech. It doesn't make sense.

Mr. Pilot isn't the only one who refers to you as Ass Hat. You are a hater and have always hated Tech and only Tech. I love Southern Miss as a conference Rival and have a lot of good friends in Black and Gold but you sir are no Southern Miss fan. You are a fraud. You jump at every chance to take digs, slander or even mislead folks here and on other boards. You will dig up, falsify or flat out ignore facts to suit your argument and even after dozens of times being proven wrong, you refuse to apologize or walk back your outlandish statements. Also the fact that you live in the Elected Ass Hat's district is not lost on me as well. Every time you pop up to take a swipe at Them Dawgs, you will be shouted down. Microphone Drop.....
Geeze, you seem to have really unloaded a lot of very serious stuff off your chest and I do hope you feel better. Lots of charges and digs there so lets take them one by one. First, I do take my digs from time to time because it elates me to no end to see the Dogs explode when I refer to them as Dogpatch residents. You have a right to call me a fraud if you like, I have opinions too. I do not admit to slander because that involves intentional lying of which I am not guilty. Please direct us to any other board where you have ever seen me make even one post. You mention dozens of times in which I have been proven wrong so that should make it easy for you to quote or refer me to even one post of that nature. I only walk back or apologize for UNTRUE statements so if you have any examples where I failed just let me know. I realize you guys were born with a sense of entitlement and have been fed the Dogpatch propaganda since birth which makes it really hard for you to live in the real world. You have my sympathy.
That is a willful and intentional lie right there.

Per the latest budgets:

Total Ticket Sales:
Ltur: 1,723,061
UL: 2,992,952 (2,008,725, FB alone)

In other words, our FB sales outsell all of your other sports combinded.

Program, novelty, parking + Royalties, licensing, ads:
Ltur: 134,767 + 290,213 = 424,980
UL: 670,257 + 948,931 = 1,619,188

So when you talk about who is best prepared and heading to beng self-funded, it is pretty clear who is and who isn't.

CajunFan, you need to draw them some pictures. The Dogpatch boys have NEVER been able to understand numbers.

The point was that ULL athletics receives more funding than Tech. Then, when this point was proven, LCF changed his original argument. LCF is a phony and routinely lies and blames others regarding Louisiana Tech. He doesn't know what he is talking about regarding Tech and I don't believe you do either. For some irrational reason, you both definitely seem to have a personal grudge regarding Louisiana Tech. I really would like for you to explain what your problem with Tech is.

LCF sent me a PM just to call me a moron for posting "red dot" instead of "neg rep." Now that is a helpful criticism.

No, it is because you are told something is true, dispute it and continue to harp on it even though you have been told the truth is different than your claim. So, the only way to shut you up about it is to show you. But, of course, you criticize that as well. Also, after being proved wrong you continue to post things you know to be false.
