Who's scheduled to be around?
Excluding Seniors, here is how it plays out right now. Black has 3 years remaining, Marcus 3 years, Watkins, 2 years, Burns, 3 years, Jones, 4 years, Pippins, 4 years, Goldman, 4 years, Jackson, 2 years, and Jackson, 2 years. That's looking good for our future. Plus who we'll bring in next season. I'd love to keep bringing in good kids out of high school. Develop your own players. But you have to fill out the squad with jucos, if they're top quality.04-cheers

Anyone who looked at Wes' resume, and his local connections, knew that he would likely be the best recruiter we have ever had. Can he coach? I have no reason to believe he can't. But, there is no way to fully know the answer to that question until he is given a chance to do it. He'll get his chance, starting in mid-November. Anyone expecting another 30-win season is deluding themselves, but I certainly expect to have a good season.

Recruiting is what it's all about. He has good experience, and has some good assistants on his staff. If he recruits well, the coaching will be fine. No way we could expect another 30 win season, but wouldn't it be great if it happened.
I'd settle for 25 wins, and another NCAA appearance.

I'm not predicting 25. It was sort of tongue in cheek. I'd love to win 25, but that's a pretty tall order. But it's certainly a possibility with what we have coming back and coming in.

No predictions until we see the team play, but I see no reason why we should not be there. Some years it is easy to see why that would not happen.

Key is finding the replacement for Josh as the team leader who can produce when the game is on the line. It could be someone who has been there already like Marcus, Jr., or Deshawn Watkins, or someone coming in that becomes that person unexpectedly. However, you would think it would be an upperclassman.

Johnson, Maurius Hill, or Kemy.

The KEY is finding a replacement for Coach Beard.

That's already been taken care of. I believe we're in good shape in that department. I'm positive until proven otherwise.

No, we've got a new coach, but I'm betting he ain't another Coach Beard. We've had seven coaches since I've been a fan, and only Newell, Wimp, Porter, and Beard have really been what I'd call good coaches, and never two in a row.
