Easy does it with winning the regional. SE LA isn't LSU not by a wide stretch.

Do Utah Valley and Coastal Carolina count as directional schools?

Sounds more topographical. Not sure that's a word though.

They are "geographic" schools! Like Appalachian State.

Why do these game threads seem to stretch on for days?

We have room. And it is pouring about 4 miles from the stadium with thunder to boot.

Passes the time while we await the whims of the weather.

Radar shows rain to be relatively scattered as opposed to yesterday. Shouldn't cause game to be postponed to tomorrow.

UT Pan American was probably the coolest geographic name -- but it's gone
:(

Then there's our former conference mates Grand Canyon State...

Also, in the match ups I'd like to see from this year's field of 64 department (between schools that have been mistaken as directional):

"UVU/LA"

Sorry, that was a set-up line. The answer we were looking for was "because the GAMES are stretching on for days" :)

It happens quite a lot. I have always been amused by the don't bunt crowd when so many good things can happen from bunting.

I am a proud member of the "don't bunt so often" crowd. But the time I am a proponent of bunting is when you are up late in the game. Today's exact scenario! Bunt away, I say, I say!

I agree, try to score another run or two while offering up another out (hopefully, both improving our chances of the win and our chances of avoiding another weather delay!!!)

We must beat LSU in our next game. I can't see us taking a loss and coming back to win three in a row with our lack of pitching depth.

I would just be ecstatic to win this regional. It would constitute an improvement over the last couple of years, and we really, really need that right now.

Absolutely correct. In fact, I think if we do not win in three games, we may have some trouble. Who would we have to pitch in a fourth game.

Amador pitched pretty well against USM. Esquivel is a "body" you could throw out there.

Just to be clear, the "LA" stands for "Lafayette" in that context 03-wink

But we already got to see an UVU/LA State match so there is that...
