I know you are crazy but it's stupid to think that having the sec baseball tournament in Memphis would take money out of the Memphis economy

Of course they pay the hired help. The maids, the cooks, the waiters, the bellboys, the skycaps - they all get money.

The real profit in both money and intangibles from TV, merchandise sales, brand promotion, school donations, school recruiting, and more all leaves Memphis.

But we sure can put a fine shine on their shoes if they'll just come to town.

The AAC's Tulane (who finished no higher in the AAC tournament than UofM eliminated Ole Miss from regionals @ Oxford) AAC doing well so far.

No way anyone was getting that away from Hoover. SEC office in B'ham.

At least 4 cities "lost" the SEC tourney. Along with Memphis, there's Nashville, New Orleans, & Jacksonville. There was some talk that either Greenville or Columbia SC was going to make a bid but don't know if they actually did.

Hoover is a shthole, but hey, whatever.

Remember in business and college sports, you don't get what you deserve. You get what you can negotiate.
