I think we will have the higher attendance numbers then people think. I gaurantee that for Boise St, and McNeese I will say we get 30,000 for both of those games, then USA comes to town and I believe that 25,000 will be at that game. Then depending on how we do on those 3 games, and our W/L record the rest of the season, and also on the weather. I predict we will get about 20,000 for the rest of the year.

I don't know if we will lead this year, but with this schedule, if we aren't north of 28, maybe 29 thousand, than we have some serious problems going forward.

I'm predicting:
SSU 23k Opening Day/Military Appreciation
ULM 23k Parents Weekend/High School Band Day
App ~26k Rivalry Game ESPNU
ULL 25k Homecoming ESPNU
Troy 22k Last Game

I hope you are right but I think you're being generous.

Louisiana and Troy are the only ones that might be overestimated. The first 3 should be right on.

I guess, I'm just worried we may lose to both the ASU's and won't be in the title run which would kill the ULL and Troy attendance numbers. I see ~23K+ for SSU being the home opener, Then parents weekend being well attended at ~23K.
I don't think we break any records against App and actually only get 21K to show up (students would have to turn up big to make it a sellout). The ULL will take a hit by being a mid-week game but could see a boost if we are undefeated (or at most a 1 loss) so I'll guess 18K. Then Troy will also depend heavily on our win/loss record so another 18-20K. My guess for the season average is ~21K I would really hope we can get 23K+ for the average.

RE: G5 Attendance
The long term goal for GS should be to average ~25K in 5 years and after an expansion to average 30K in 10 years. Hopefully things don't change so drastically that football(sports) takes a huge hit in attendance.

That's fair. I'm banking on a large student turnout for both Thursday games. I think the ULL game being homecoming is going to help a lot. We should get a few extra Greeks to come for at least a half which will help inflate our numbers.

RE: G5 Attendance
Can we get a list of actual stadium capacities for the SBC (incl CCU even if we know they're going to upgrade) without "extra" seatings? (berms, grass, temp bleachers).

It's probably been done before but it's also probably buried about 100 pages back.

I'll put it somewhere up on the top in one of those threads....likely the SBC forums threads...or make a new one titled SBC Facilities.

I think this is a little different than what you are talking about but I like this http://csnbbs.com/thread-570996.html

Wiki can be used but I noted right off that 2 of TXSTs are wrong. Football is officially 30,008 (I know, picky) and baseball is 2400.

If folks want to correct anything (capacities) from that, let me know.

I can work on this using the CUSA model with pictures added but it will have to wait, My great niece graduates HS tomorrow and we have a beach party for her on Sunday. I'll be mostly out of pocket from tomorrow afternoon until Monday.

Here's another way to look at attendance...since money is so important only 3 schools made more money in 2015 than 2014

I have a feeling the GSU-GSU game in the Dome is going to have an epic crowd. 28,000 in 2014 and State wasn't very good. If State can mold a QB and contend for a bowl I think they will have to open up the 2nd(club) level. Maybe 40,000. Also, the Dome will be torn down shortly afterwards. Just a thought. Go Eagles!

Could you provide a source for those figures? I am interested because I think stAte would have had a much higher $$ amount from 2014 to 2015 based on the following:
stAte eclipsed the 10,000 mark in season tickets for the first time in school history
stAte opened up brand new luxury suites in 2015 that were not available in 2014.
stAte jacked the ticket price for the Mizzou game and it was reported that the profit from that one home game was around 800k.
I would think our $$ from 2015 would have been significantly higher than the year before. So just wondering where you got your stats and what all factored into the figures posted.
