I did not see the call in question, but just an FYI ... college baseball umpiriring does not get better in the postseason. And that includes Omaha.

It is the fatal flaw in the game and has been for years.

Considering on the play in question the catcher caught the ball from the pitcher (1st out on the play) then stepped towards the pitcher's mound, threw to first and the 1st baseman didn't come close to stepping/reaching in foul territory to catch it there's no chance the runner was in the baseline. When I saw it live I thought it shove been an interference out at first and after multiple replays it was more obvious.

Batters finally seemed to realize their pitcher was throwing so many potential balls (bases loaded). Didnt capitalize and it was too late.

That was two of the best back-to-back pitchers (for Miss St) that I've seen on the college level in a long time. Zac Houston threw a 2-hitter for 6 innings, including 10 strikeouts, and Ryan Rigbee came in in relief and threw 3 perfect innings with 4 strikeouts.

I remember hearing that State has like 20 guys on their team who can top 90 mph. Several of their position players can throw 90+ from the mound.

I hate State but they have a very good chance of winning it all this year.

Besides their recent acceptance of the woman-beating recruit, I don't really have a problem with them.

Educate me.
