billybobby777, do you have an excel sheet or somewhere with all the games from the past 3-5 years? I'd be interested in seeing how 1:1 scheduling breaks down by C5 conferences/teams. I'd guess Pac12, ACC, then Big12 give the most 1:1. Big 10 and SEC the least.

I’d have to work on it. My guess is that the PAC and MWC is the most 1:1 by far simply because they are the only 2 western conferences. Next is definitely the ACC and AAC. There are some interesting gets that stand out to me like Arkansas doing a 1:1 with Colorado St. I’d say right now the Big 10 does the least amount of 1:1 scheduling, even less than the SEC as they have only 3 OOC games.

Houston gets a 1:1 with Utah in 26/27.

Dang! CUSA is getting quite a bit of H-H games with P5 schools. That says a lot in my opinion about the status of CUSA vs the MAC and Sunbelt.

It does indeed. The MAC is the conference that’s going to eventually get phased out of getting good home games IMHO because of their little brother to the big 10 status, in cold part of the country and they play in small stadiums.

AAC: Good stadiums in destination cities with good recruiting.
MWC: Only conference in the West with old rivals (in the PAC) with good sized stadiums.
CUSA: Good locations with good recruiting.

Sun Belt: have to fight established schools in the footprint from the AAC and CUSA.

MAC: see above explanation on why they can’t get good Home games going foward

I see this flipping in the next couple of years. Cartel tired of getting beat in their "tune-up" games. As shown above, VT is replacing our series with ODU to secure those September wins. Our in-state rivals are also looking to Charlotte, App State, and Coastal Carolina.

Add another one to the MW.
