I have no idea. The young man put up some solid numbers as a platoon RB over his two years here...

166 carries
767 yards
4.62 YPC
9 TD

We are going to miss him. He was the hammer after we got the lead

I would've loved to see him at LB. WHAM ...........

If he wanted to play LB he'd have signed with the Razorbacks out of HS

Dorceus is worlds better than Cooper. Both Henderson's are better.

Cooper's game isn't made for running between the tackles?

Cooper's game is Between the Tackles....but he doesn't have the Explosion to hit the holes faster or break to the outside with Violent Explosion which Coach Norvell and staff covet....Patrick Taylor Jr is a big Bruising Type back with Better speed....Plus the vision see the holes open...Cooper will be fine be we are LOADED in the backfield and QB right now....No Limits....The World Is Ours Memphis....

You were singing Cooper's praises last year. Can you be objective about ANYTHING?

The bulk of Norvell's run game is midline so what the hell does cutting outside with violent explosion have to do with anything.

He wasn't going to see the field as a RB. We've upgraded significantly at this position. He wasn't willing to move to another position, so he decided to transfer. He'll end up at a C USA or Sunbelt school. I really think some of you like to revel in misery.

I certainly don't think its gonna kill us, but last year proved that you really can't have too many quality running backs. I would have liked to seen him in the mix for certain (i.e. goal line) situational plays next season, but I ain't gonna lose any sleep over it.

Your statement implies maybe the coaches wanted him gone, they didn't. Cooper wanted more playing time at RB, wanted to be the featured back. Memphis couldn't provide that opportunity. So Cooper is transferring. We'd all like an unlimited supply of talented RBs, but it will never happen even at UGA where they seem to great depth at RB. But Memphis now has the most depth at RB I can ever remember & this led Cooper to transferring.

Maybe this is old news but Robert Davis, the running back from Tampa, is no longer on the roster. Ferguson has his old jersey #4.
