After today's home softball victory, Tulsa is now tied for atop the conference for most championships overall.

Actually most of those are in golf. UH has championships in golf than any other team in the country.

Is that counted as a "championship" now?

It obviously should be because it's a much better gauge of "best team", but I don't thing it's counted as a real championship any longer.

Regular season championships are not counted.

That's dumb.

Not dumb. This is an old BE rule (AAC is still same conference in bylaws) because of the unbalanced schedule. Aresco is still using the old BE pod system (i.e. grouping teams in pods of 3) which allows for optimal TV placement and unbalanced schedules.
